Authority: Technical direction (Engine), technology research, integrating animations (cinematic and character), mentoring interns (programmers) to studio, assisting 3d artist and animators with pipeline bugs.

Responsibility:

·         Animation integration from 3DsMax and Maya using Unreal Matinee, debugging character rigs.

·         Technical direction and optimization (visual, level and lighting) for achieving desired vision of the Art director and Studio head.

·         Level Design (Technical - Making sure all in-game assets be ported correctly to new levels and are fully functioning as needed) , creating technical development documents.

Centre for Digital Media (Animation [Elective] Project – April 2010)

·         Learnt basics of industrial animation-production pipeline for animation class (taken as an elective) and made an animation short.

·         Learnt to setup Mental Ray in 3DS Max to understand lighting in 3D environment.

·         Created concept art.

I was incharge of script editing, programming initially but stepped up to the role of project manager and art direction for the project requirement.

Description: Worked for a 5 week Visual Story project (film based – game) implementing character development through a interactive story telling enviroment made in flash.

Description: Proposed using Arduino as an animation device for making a LED animated Sign for the Olympics Code Live event. The sign is now an asset to the institute.

Description: Successfully self -taught Flash AS3 programming from scratch to an intermediate level and implemented learnt skills to complete a 5 week project visual narrative project. I was incharge of providing an interface to video and flash elements rigged with effects for an User Interface.

Project: Forgotten Story of Stanley Park

Centre for Digital Media (Building virtual worlds Project – September 2009)

Worked as a Concept artist, Digital Painter and GUI designer for making UI elements and recreating environments.

Project Description: A virtual world project on the history of Stanley park (Vancouver) and the natives who were evicted from there homes.

Completed a playable game in 48-hours at the Global Game Jam, Vancouver 2010.

Extra-curricular Activities (Undergraduate Level during Computer Engineering – Pune, India)

 

-          Final year specialization in a research based project (1 year) of using Intel Thread Building Blocks (TBB) vs Nvidia CUDA for computation of high density Matrices, for the Indian super computer PARAM.

-          Art Editor of In-house College magazine “Srujan” (which won 2nd prize at state level competition)

-          Organized technical events in the college:

·         Gaming Head in Techtalk in 2007 (National Level Technical event of Computer department of college)
